Hyundai Foreign School’s Kindergarten is primarily for the children of "foreign" employees and clients of the Hyundai Heavy Industries.
However, non Hyundai children are welcome to apply for places, provided they are
a) children with at least one parent foreign born
b) children with neither parent foreign born, holding a foreign passport with a valid Korean visa or re-entry permit or a Korean passport, where the child has resided abroad for more than 3 years.
(This applies to the children with dual nationality or permanent residency as well)

Children, who will be three years old by 31st August, are eligible to start kindergarten, provided they are toilet trained. It is necessary to register a child before they can attend HFS.
Parents or companies planning to bring children to Ulsan should contact the Head teacher to obtain up-to-date information about the availability of places.
The school year runs from August to June and is divided into three terms.
- Autumn Term : August to December,
- Spring Term : January to April,,
- Summer Term : May to June.
The Kindergarten operates for the morning sessions (9.00~12.00) Monday to Friday.
The curriculum follows the early years foundation stage of the British National Curriculum and themes are taken from the International Primary Curriculum’s early years programme.
