Hyundai Heavy Industries established Hyundai Foreign School (HFS) in September 1982. It was built to provide primary education to the children of resident representatives of HHI’s clients.
HFS is a regular member of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS). The school is registered with the Department for Education and Skills in the UK ? DfES No. 7036156. The school is a member of CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) and is a registered Cambridge International Centre.
The school comprises three two-story buildings. These are adjacent to each other; the Kindergarten building being linked to the main school by a covered walkway. There are nine bright and spacious classrooms, a well-resourced library, a kitchen and canteen, two ICT rooms, a science lab, an art room, two learning support rooms, a hall and a secure playground. All the rooms have air-conditioning and heating.
The school has the use of the adjoining tennis court during the school day and has access to many sporting facilities in the local area.
The school is staffed by fully qualified and experienced expatriate teachers with wide experience both in the U.K. and overseas. The school is represented, at management level, by HHI staff from the Overseas Public Relations Department.
